What's New at Recology Ashland Sanitary Service

Please remember to call one day in advance to authorize pickup of any extra trash. Drivers will not pick up extra trash without prior authorization.

Effective immediately, customers will no longer be required to sign a 12-month agreement to participate in our Green Debris program. This is a great way to deal with green debris disposal year-round, and to keep organics out of the trash and our landfills. Green debris carts may be used for lawn clippings, plant trimmings, leaves, and other plant materials (if it grows, it goes). Branches must be less than three (3) inches in diameter, and must fit inside the cart provided. The cost for this service is only $5.65 per month! Eligible customers include those within the city limits of Ashland or Talent, as well as those within the urban growth boundaries of both cities. A fully refundable 96-gallon green debris cart deposit of $48.00 is required.

A number of our customers have been frustrated when someone not listed on their account (e.g. spouse, relative, friend, tenant, etc.) has called our office to make account changes, request extra services, etc. Unfortunately, due to privacy and other legal concerns, we are unable to allow anyone who is not listed on the account to make any account changes or to request service changes. If you think you will have a need for others to make account changes for you from time to time, please contact our office to have them added as an authorized user.

Keep prescription medications away from children and out of our landfill, water supply, and streams. Recology has teamed with Ashland and Talent police departments to provide prescription drug drop boxes in the police station lobbies.

Recycle latex and oil based paints year round by returning unused portions to Miller Paint (Ashland) & Ashland Hardware. Paint may not be disposed of in your trash (empty paint cans or totally dried paint are OK). More info at www.paintcare.org.
