Ashland Recycling Program Recology Ashland Sanitary Service offers a great commingle household recycling service for our customers inside the urban growth boundary.

Please place items on the curb by 7:00 AM on your recycling day.



No Plastic Bags in Commingle Carts! They Clog Up Our System!
Plastic bags, such as grocery and retail bags, protective newspaper bags, & sandwich sacks, cause BIG problems at our recycling recovery facility. These bags clog up the equipment by wrapping around gears and wheels. To reduce the number of plastic bags at home, switch to durable, reusable bags for your trips to the store. Keep durable bags stored in your car or bike for easy access when shopping. Plastic bags can be recycled at the Ashland Recycling Center (Water Street).

Recycle Bin

Ashland Recycling ProgramBecause of our semi-automated collection method, glass and used motor oil cannot be recycled in your commingled roll-cart. The blue bin is exclusively used for glass and motor oil. Do not put your glass inside plastic bags!

Glass All glass food, beverage jars and bottles. Remove metal lids and place in commingled bin.

Used Motor Oil
Put the used motor oil in a plastic container with a screw-top lid. Make sure it is well-sealed.
Why recycle motor oil?
