Multi-Family Recycling Program

Ashland Recycling Program This service is only available to customers within the Urban Growth Boundaries of Ashland and Talent.

Recology Ashland Sanitary Service provides 65-gallon "Commingle" roll-carts for all recyclables except glass bottles. Glass bottles go in a blue bin or separate cart. The separate cart is labeled "ALL GLASS BOTTLES", (labels are available in English and Spanish).

Recycling Reminder:
Commingle carts and bins should be placed in your designated common area/recycle area or at curbside by 7:00 a.m. Recycling is picked up on the trash day of your recycle week.

No Plastic Bags in Commingle Bins! They Clog Up Our System!
Plastic bags, such as grocery and retail bags, protective newspaper bags, & sandwich sacks, cause BIG problems at our recycling recovery facility. These bags clog up the equipment by wrapping around gears and wheels. To reduce the number of plastic bags at home, switch to durable, reusable bags for your trips to the store. Keep durable bags stored in your car or bike for easy access when shopping. Plastic bags can be recycled at the Ashland Recycling Center (Water Street).

Ashland Recycling ProgramBecause of our semi-automated collection method, glass and used motor oil cannot be recycled in your commingled roll-cart. The blue bin is exclusively used for glass and motor oil. Do not put your glass inside plastic bags!

Glass All glass food, beverage jars and bottles. Remove metal lids and place in commingled bin.

Used Motor Oil
Put the used motor oil in a plastic container with a screw-top lid. Make sure it is well-sealed.
Why recycle motor oil?

Additional Information

If you choose to not use the Multi-Family Recycling Program, full-service recycling is available in Ashland at the Recycling Center on Water Street and at the Valley View Transfer Station.

Please contact us for more information.

Note: This program works best when there is someone to check the carts before pick-up day to remedy any contamination. If the containers become full due to an event or party, please contact your manager so s/he can request earlier pick-up.
